Housing Development

Belle Reve is partnering with developers Gulf Coast Housing Partnership and Alembic Community Development on a $64 million development in Central City New Orleans. H3C (Health, Community, Culture and Commerce) is a GCHP Health + Housing pilot project aimed at improving health outcomes and driving down health costs by introducing 192 affordable and workforce housing units alongside healthcare providers and public health organizations. As part of Belle Reve’s commitment to senior housing, Belle Reve will financially support the 92 senior occupied rental units and operate the Belle Reve Center onsite.

The Center will include amenity spaces – a total of 4,000 sq.ft for health and wellness, recreation, education, support and socialization. Residents will also enjoy beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces for recreation and contemplation. Our staff will program these spaces, which will also be made available for use by the community.

Additionally, Belle Reve will connect residents to resources, services and programs in the community that address their current and future needs. We will provide case management services to the senior residents, including informational referrals, help with benefit and entitlement assistance and access to psychosocial support groups, among other services. We will also engage community partners to provide a variety of programs and services on site.

Our goal is to promote relationship building, meaningful human connections, in what will be an intergenerational affordable housing community. The Belle Reve Center will provide the space, the staff and the resources to make these connections and create a thriving senior community in New Orleans.
